Tool Solution Jib

Ideal for any light-duty lifting needs, tool jib cranes are very lightweight, designed to be easy to install, and have a small footprint when freestanding – and none when mounted to a wall. With a variety of options, they're generally the most economical solution for positioning or hoisting tools in any shop environment.

Simple Installation

Tool jib cranes are either mounted on a wall or freestanding. Wall-mount tool jib cranes can weigh less than 50 pounds, and freestanding cranes typically weigh less than 400 pounds. Due to both the hoist's low weight and the items it can lift, wall mounting can often be done almost anywhere there's solid framing.

Floor mounting is also simple. No special foundation is required; a 4' x 4' x 6" area on a concrete floor with wire mesh reinforcement is generally suitable. Chemical anchor bolts with a minimum of 3,470 lbs. of pull-out force is sufficient.

Fits Almost Anywhere

All tool solution hoists feature slim profiles and lightweight yet durable frames. Smaller ones can fit in almost any work cell and, if mounted to a wall, take up no valuable floor space. Designed initially as tool hoists, they're meant to fit in small areas, such as between machines.

Plenty of Options

When choosing a tool jib crane, you'll need to know a few things to find the perfect solution. The key specifications are:

  • Mounting type
  • Lift capacity
  • Span
  • Height under boom
Other options are also available:
  • Rotation locks
  • Adjustable friction brake
  • Festoon saddles
  • Portable base
If you're unsure about what you need, we have engineers and a sales team available to walk you through the choices to find the most economical crane that fits all your needs.

Even More Uses

Due to their rugged versatility, the uses are limitless. Virtually every industry with light-duty lifting will find that tool jib cranes increase worker productivity while decreasing injuries. With handling objects and materials comprising about 32% of workplace injury claims, anything you can do to reduce lifting strain will likely pay off.

Industries that commonly use toll jib cranes include:

  • Warehouse and storage
  • Automotive
  • Maintenance and janitorial
  • Construction
  • Aerospace
  • Resource extraction and development
  • Manufacturing
Some specific uses include:
  • Supporting tool balancers
  • Vacuum lifters
  • Welding wire feeders
  • Welders
  • Pneumatic tools
Anywhere a worker performs repetitive heavy lifting or needs items to be suspended will benefit from installing a light tool jib crane. They're great to reduce overcrowding in tight workspaces and eliminate the need for a second pair of hands.
