See What our Employees are Saying About Us

We are very proud of the work that we do here at Hoosier Crane and the family we create.

Mike Mikulich

Service Technician

From what I can tell, there is a mutual trust and respect that is shared by everyone at Hoosier Crane. The company treats the employees well, and the employees represent the company well to the customers. It’s sort of a pride thing. Everyone here wants Hoosier to be the best crane company in the area, and it shows in the quality of work that we do. We might not be the biggest, but we work hard to keep the customers happy. The company treats us well, and we go out of our way to make sure the company does well.

Dee Neff-Cole

Supply Chain Coordinator

I've been at Hoosier Crane Service Company four years. The last two as Supply Chain Coordinator. Some of my responsibilities are ordering new equipment that ships directly to our customers, and components for the systems we build and install. I handle most of the freight issues that we encounter, keep order information up to date and help Inside Sales answer phones and other tasks. I want to continue working at Hoosier Crane Service Company because I believe in this Company. I have great admiration and respect for The Schmidts as well as the Leadership Team and my co-workers. My average day is quite busy. Between ordering New Equipment, and Components for Manufacturing and Installation orders, I am taking phone calls , scheduling freight, verifying Vendor order acknowledgements, and meeting with Sales, Manufacturing, and Installation Teams. I look forward to completed projects. I enjoy seeing the "after" photos. I also truly enjoy working with the team I'm surrounded by here. Hoosier Crane Service Company is the place to go when you need an expert. Everyone here is an absolute professional at what they do. There is a vast amount of knowledge in this company. We have a culture of excellence, with a family atmosphere, backed by a desire to do the right thing. That combination is rarer than it should be, and I am so glad to be here.

Chris Ambroziak

Chief Financial Officer

I work at Hoosier Crane because you are not just a number and are treated like family. I know that it sounds cliché to say that, as many businesses claim the same, but at Hoosier Crane, it is absolutely true. I ended up here by chance, as I got a call from a recruiter and just happened to be looking for a job while I was at my previous employer. From day one, I was treated like family and welcomed with open arms. Not even a few months into my employment, my wife had to have an organ transplant and the amount of support I received during that time was astonishing. People would stop by from out of town to check in, employees made meals to help with dinners, and the list goes on and on. It is also the first place where I have worked where you are able to be involved in as many areas as you can handle. I feel like many places operate in silos and each silo does one thing and passes it along to the next. I am able to broaden my horizons and work with people in all different departments and contribute to many aspects of the company. I know that I am not an IT major, but I was able to learn and pick things up to help fix some problems that come up in the day to day operations. It not only saves money, but it is fulfilling to me and allows me to interact with employees all around the company. I also feel like my opinion, surely not always the best one, is always treated as a valid option and is considered. It truly is hard to find a place to work nowadays with these types of working conditions. To top it all off, the owners are genuinely thankful for their employees. They know everyone on a first name basis and most employees’ families as well. You cannot pass them without them thanking you for what you contribute to the company. Their excitement to give back to their employees is obvious and that truly means the world to me. My only regret about Hoosier Crane is that I only wished I could have found it sooner.

Andy Buczek

Service Technician

I like the ability to work in different places everyday and see different issues constantly. Working on different cranes and in different locations keeps work from getting monotonous. I enjoy the comradery between myself and other employees of Hoosier Crane... I like that everyone at the company is willing to help out when there is an issue.

Denise Quinones

Accounting/HR Intern

I work for Hoosier Crane because I believe I learn something every day I come into work. Truely, I feel that Hoosier Crane creates a unique environment where questions are encouraged, and anyone can learn everything. Working here is super fulfilling because I know that I can grow not just career wise but as person as well through all the interactions I have with people in different departments. In simpler words I work at Hoosier Crane because I like the job and I like the people.

Yvonne Kline

Accounting Associate

I have been with HCS since January 2018. I work here because it really is one of the best places I have ever worked! Tom and Cherie are wonderful along with the management team. Which has changed since I started. When I interviewed for the job, Amy told me it was one of the best places to work and I wouldn't be sorry if I accepted the position. I have never once been sorry. I like that it's dynamic. When changes to staff, processes or policies need to be changed it happens. Well thought out changes for the current situation. They are very forward thinking with technology and the business, but not at the expense of people. Technology is a tool to enhance or make better the work environment not to replace a person. I look forward to coming to work as I enjoy the people I work with. We really are a family, and that culture is very important from the top down. Even though our family reaches from Elkhart to Indy to Tennessee and back. It's like a family reunion when there is a companywide event. One of the best things about HCS is that we answer the phone. In a world where so much is automated and you press a button to get sent to voicemail where you never get a call back, we answer the phone 24/7. We are a service company first after all. Cranes don't always break down from 7am - 3:30pm. I also like the continued opportunity to grow, as a person, in your position, or move up through the ladder or learn new things. We promote from withing when we can and that speaks volumes. I could go on and on, but you get the drift.

Todd Cook

Chief Executive Officer

My co-workers feel like family and we get along great. As a whole it seems as if everyone is working together and working towards the common goal of providing the Best in the Industry service to our customers... No day is the same. Always changing challenges and environment keep my job interesting and fun. The co-workers.
