Runway Alignment

When Hoosier Crane installs runway beams and ASCE rail, we conform to the specifications given by the Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA). A copy of the specification tolerances is attached. It is imperative that these be met for a crane to operate properly. We use only the highest quality steel and experienced Union Ironworkers to ensure that the runways fully comply with these specifications. We also may use slotted holes rather than round for easy field alignment and adjustment. Improperly installed runways can cause premature wear on the crane wheels and other components.This may void any warranty claims.

As part of our installation where we do not supply the runway beams and/or the ASCE rail, we first check the alignment to confirm that they are properly installed. If the runway beams and/or the ASCE rail are not compliant to the CMAA specifications, the situation will need to be remedied before the installation of the ASCE rail and/or the crane can be completed by Hoosier Crane.
