This is the second edition of our employee spotlight posts. A big part of what makes Hoosier Crane successful is our team. We rely heavily on the dedication, insight, and expertise of our employees. And we have started showcasing them here on a regular basis so you have the chance to meet them. This time we're shining a spotlight on Mary Newberry. Mary won our employee recognition award for March and we thought it would be the perfect time to highlight her and what she does at Hoosier Crane.
I have been with Hoosier Crane for one year this month!
I am the Sales & Warranty Coordinator in our Sales Department.
A typical day for me involves entering quotes from the outside sales staff into our system and converting quotes to sales orders. I also take phone calls and emails from the outside sales staff. I locate and send them any information they need when they are on the road or at a customer location. The rest of my day is spent verifying order acknowledgements, working with warranties, and verifying sales order invoicing information.
My favorite memory at Hoosier Crane was being a part of the volunteer work day with other employees at the Faith Mission in Elkhart. It was very touching to see everyone pitching in and helping out wherever they could. That's one of the things that I love about working here. Everyone is so generous.
Being available to help the sales staff when they are out on the road. It kind of feels like helping my kids succeed when I am available to help the sales staff with their request because it feels like such a family here at Hoosier Crane.
I enjoy working with the outside sales staff because every day is always different. I never know what someone will need help with or what problem will arise that I can help solve. It keeps things interesting!
