Hoosier Values
Hoosier Crane is a family-owned business headquartered in Elkhart, IN. Because our reputation is on the line, we make sure our customers are 100% satisfied. To guarantee your satisfaction with our products and services we employ Hoosier values: honesty, old-fashioned work ethic, and person-to-person attention. We have maintained these values ever since owners Tom and Cherie Schmidt started the business in 2002, and we believe they are the cornerstones to our success. Hoosier Crane started with just four people in 2002, but we now employ more than 80 people, and we have branches in Elkhart, Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and Valparaiso.

Our business begins and ends with great service
We started out as a service company and we continue to be a service oriented business. Our service technicians are the most experienced in the industry, and they all have certifications in the different areas of service we provide. Our technicians receive training regularly and they are always up-to-date on the latest equipment and technology.
Our commitment to good service is part of our culture. All of our departments at Hoosier Crane are committed to helping our customers and business partners in every way we possibly can.
Employees
Employees are our most important asset
Without great employees we could never be a great crane service company. Our employees deliver great service and have deep knowledge of the overhead crane industry.
We continue to invest in our team with ongoing training. Working with our top vendors and local colleges, we continually educate our employees. They know all about the latest products in the material handling industry as well as best practices in rigging, welding, electrical, and mechanical skills.
We also strive to keep our people safe by creating a culture of safety first. We facilitate this with monthly safety training and a detailed onboarding process that keeps both our employees and customers safe.

We appreciate the great success we've had at Hoosier Crane and we could not have had that success without the help we receive from the communities we serve. We give back to area schools and charities by providing financial assistance and volunteer efforts. Our employees understand that this is important and many of them volunteer their time to help various organizations in the communities we serve.
