Overhead Crane Inspections

Overhead Crane Safety Inspection SE

HOOSIER CRANE is dedicated to providing reliable, quality crane inspection and repair in a timely manner. Our focus on continuous improvement and ongoing training enables us to offer inspection and preventive maintenance programs that help you reduce downtime and costly production losses.

The following will give you an overview of our inspection procedures. Please take the time to read it carefully as it contains important information regarding our inspection audit procedures.

Our audit program is designed to review your overhead system and to report parts that are worn or do not meet certain safety specifications. We will provide you with a quotation to repair any problems and/or replace any worn parts we detect in your system.

Following the inspection, our fully trained service technician will need to meet with you or another designated person in authority to review the audit. During this review, our technician will notify you of any item(s) that could render your equipment unsafe to operate, discuss any recommended repairs and have you sign the inspection work order. This review is an important aspect of our services to you. It enables us to provide you with any important information immediately and ensures that you are aware of any safety concerns uncovered during the audit. Please notify our technician or this office of the proper designated person if you will not be available.

To the right is a description of the inspection procedures that our technicians will follow. If there is anything further that you might wish checked, please let us know prior to the inspection date.

“My son & I purchased a small 2 ton crane kit from Hoosier Crane. We had no experience at this type of installation—we are welder /fabricators. The unit was on time, compact, easy-to-install, and works great. We only had two questions during installation and the 24 hour service group answered both of them in minutes...at 11:00 at night. Great service, great crane, happy customers.”

“We have purchased several over head crane kits from Hoosier Crane and have always received very good service from the company. I especially appreciate the rapid, complete quotes and the engineering assistance.”

"Precision Welding & Fabrication, Inc. is very pleased with the quality of our two recently purchased 3 ton overhead bridge cranes. The electrician that did the electrical connection to the cranes said that the electrical components are of very good quality. We had a couple of questions during the purchasing phase as well as during the assembly. These were answered very promptly by your service staff. If we have need of any more cranes, we would certainly do business with Hoosier Crane again."

Dave Sermuks, President
Precision Fabrication & Welding, Inc.

“We were in need of a crane in a new facility we set up in Elkhart. We shopped around, looking at new and used cranes that would be applicable to our requirements. The staff at Hoosier Crane won the bid process, providing support and assistance from the initial request for quote, through installation, and final training of our personnel. They answered every question promptly and professionally, bridging the gap between civil engineers and our engineering staff. They are a reputable company that can be trusted.”

“Elite Stone Importers had a unique, multi-crane need for our new facility in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. After contacting several crane companies, we were fortunate to come across Hoosier Crane. After speaking to the account rep, Todd Cook, he promptly made arrangements for a site visit to our New Jersey facility. With strong knowledge and good insight to our needs, I was presented with a competitive bid for a job that was ultimately completed by a class act organization. The installers were professional, friendly, accommodating and knowledgeable. The job was completed ahead of schedule and to our satisfaction. After the cranes were installed, Hoosier Crane is still there by my side ensuring that our special requests for machine products are being met which are out of the initial scope of work. Hoosier Crane is a worthy national crane supplier / installer.”
