LESS MAINTENANCE & EASIER INSPECTION

  • Heavy Duty DC Brake is designed for a long service life. Brake location allows for quick access and easy inspection.
  • Lifetime grease-lubricated Gear Box means no oil change out is required. Precision gears provide better wear and longer life.
  • Clutch located outside the Gear Box allows for easy access which eliminates the need for complete disassembly and reduces downtime.

A GREAT HOIST

Classic Lodestar is shipped without chain container and suspension. These items must be ordered separately.

A GREAT HOIST MADE COMPLETE

New Lodestar is shipped with suspension
and a fabric chain container as standard.

SERVICEABILITY: GOOD

Equipped with overload clutch located in the
transmission and in the load path. Complete
tear down is required to replace the clutch.

 

Vs.

SERVICEABILITY: BETTER

Equipped with overload clutch (patent pending) located between the motor and liftwheel. It is outside the load path and is easy to access from the motor end of the hoist. Disassembly of the gearcase is no longer required.

AC ELECTRIC BRAKE: STANDARD

The AC electric brake is a proven design and has
served the hoist well for over 50 years. However,
the brake does contribute to a high operating
noise when opened or closed during the lift.

DC ELECTRIC BRAKE: STANDARD

This brake is robust and durable passing all rigourous testing both internal and external. The DC brake is very quiet and smooth during operation. AC electric brake and Double DC brake are options.

Equipped with a 4 pocket lift wheel
and stamped steel chain guides.

LONGER SERVICE & CHAIN LIFE

Equipped with a 5 pocket lift wheel and stamped steel chain guides which have a corrosion resistant coating that protects as well as reduces operating noise. Lift wheel provides less chain vibration and improved chain wear.

QUIET OPERATION: 90 dB

4 pocket lift wheel, stamped steel chain guides, helical/spur gears and AC electric brake will produce an operating noise of approx. 90 dB for a Model L 1 ton.

QUIETER OPERATION: 70 dB

5 pocket lift wheel, coated steel chain guides, all helical gearing and DC electric brake produces an operating noise of approx. 70 dB for a Model L 1 ton. Results in an 85% reduction in sound pressure as compared to the Classic Lodestar.

SINGLE CERTIFIED: US OR CSA

The Classic Lodestar is available in domestic models for the US and CSA certified models for Canada.

DUAL CERTIFIED: CSA/US CERTIFIED - STANDARD

All models are dual certified. This rating will qualify as an NRTL mark for the hoist and there will no longer be
separate models for the US and Canadian market.

MEETS H4 REQUIREMENTS

The Classic Lodestar is designed
to meet H4 duty cycles.

EXCEEDS H4 REQUIREMENTS

The New Lodestar design is rated at H4 plus. It consistently exceeds the H4 duty rating of the Classic Lodestar models.
